Fall Dumpster Day

From 7 AM - Noon, Saturday September 26th, four dumpsters will be available to neighborhood residents.  Two will be designated for trash and two designated for yard waste. Pre-Halloween Trick-or-Treat

Due to high numbers of Trick-or-Treaters in the neighborhood, Coleman Highlands neighbors are putting on a Trick-or-Treating event Friday, October 30th at 6:00pm for Coleman Highlands kiddos only. We've had numbers ranging from 600-800 kids  during Halloween every year—kids from all over the city come to Coleman Highlands. Leaf and Brush: Free Curbside Pickup Nov 2020

The City of Kansas City, Missouri conducts scheduled curbside leaf and brush collections each spring and fall. This fall, collection will be Monday November 9. Curbside Leaf and Brush Collection Rules: Sacks and bundles should be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the regularly-scheduled trash day, but not before 3:00 p.m. on the previous day. I’ve always enjoyed this project and loved putting it together with good friends and neighbors. Some years the result has been spectacular. However, the wind and dry weather conditions of Christmas Eve 2019 were not in our favor. A fire erupted on the south end of the Coleman loop. City Trash Amnesty: Winter 2020

No-tag ("trash amnesty") weeks happen twice a year and on special occasions. During those weeks, residents can put out up to 12 bags curbside without any additional tags as long as each bag weighs less than 40 pounds. Regular trash rules apply. No hazardous waste, bulky items or leaf and brush will be collected.
