DESCRIPTION:From 9 AM – Noon\, Saturday October 26th\, six dumpsters will be available to neighborhood residents.  Three will be designated for trash and three designated for yard waste.\nLOCATION\nAll dumpsters will be located at 32nd Terrace and West Coleman Road. \nPROHIBITED ITEMS\n\nTires\nHousehold Hazardous Waste (paint\, oil\, chemicals\, pesticides)\nWater Heaters\nFlourescent Lights (including CFLs)\nRefrigerators\nE-Waste (monitors\, computers\, household electronic items with internal compornents like mercury and other heavy metals)\nPlastic bags are not permitted in the leaf and brush dumpsters\n\nREMEMBER\n\nSign in with a volunteer.\nSet Potentially reusable items and scrap metal on the curb next to trash dumpsters for our local scrappers.\nRECYCLE CARDBOARD AT THE CURB ON REGULAR TRASH DAY. Don’t bring it to the dumpster\, please.\nHaven’t paid your dues this year? Volunteers will be available to accept dues checks. Please make checks out to Coleman Highlands Neighborhood Association. DESCRIPTION:Coleman Highlands has a fun Fourth of July planned\, including games for the kids and an appearance by KCFD! This year’s 4th of July Parade and picnic will happen from 10:30am – 2pm\, Saturday July 6th. We’ll kick off the parade at 10:30 and at the end of the parade we’ll be grillin’ and chillin’! \nParade Details\nThe parade starts at 10:30 and that corner of Coleman Road and Karnes Boulevard\, widing the full length of Coleman/West Coleman. Children\, pets\, bicycles\, musicians\, and unique vehicles are encouraged! Prizes will be given for the most festive participants. \nPicnic Details\nThe potluck picnic will be after the parade on West 33rd Terrace near the intersection of West Coleman Road. \nFood: CHNA will grill hot dogs and provide drinks\, plates & utensils\, and cold treats. Attendees should bring side dishes to share. \nSeating: Seating will not be provided– feel free to bring lawn chairs. \nThe parade will begin at 10:30 at the corner of Coleman Road and Karnes Boulevard\, winding the full length of Coleman/West Coleman Rd. \nThis annual tradition is made possible by the efforts of our volunteers and the support of our Neighborhood Association members. If you haven’t submitted dues this year\, you can do so online.

DESCRIPTION:On Monday December 11th\, the city will collect brush and yard waste curbside in our neighborhood. Please pay attention to the rules for curbside collection: \n\nSacks and bundles should be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the regularly-scheduled trash day\, but not before 3:00 p.m. on the previous day.\nNo more than 20 sacks and bundles per household.\nSacks and bundles must not weigh more than 40 pounds each.\nUse only paper lawn debris sacks. No plastic bags.\nIf you seal the sacks\, use masking tape only; do not use plastic or duct tape.\nNo grass clippings. No trash.\nAll branches must be bundled. Branches must not be more than 3 inches in diameter.\nBundles of branches must not be more than 2 feet in diameter and not more than 4 feet long.\nUse twine or jute rope to tie bundles; do not use wire or plastic tape.\nIf wet weather is forecast\, cover sacks and bundles with clear plastic.\n\nIf sacks and bundles are not collected on the scheduled trash day\, residents must contact 311 within 24 hours. Coleman Road \nCome gather and celebrate the fall and spooky season with us! We’ll have a couple fire pits set up and hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting. There will also be hot apple cider. At 6:30 we’ll watch a spooky\, family-friendly movie (as long as the weather is in our favor). \nBYO chair\, roasting sticks\, and any other snacks or beverages you might want.

DESCRIPTION:From 8 AM – Noon\, Saturday October 28th\, six dumpsters will be available to neighborhood residents.  Three will be designated for trash and three designated for yard waste.\nLOCATION\nAll dumpsters will be located at 32nd Terrace and West Coleman Road. \nPROHIBITED ITEMS\n\nTires\nHousehold Hazardous Waste (paint\, oil\, chemicals\, pesticides)\nWater Heaters\nFlourescent Lights (including CFLs)\nRefrigerators\nE-Waste (monitors\, computers\, household electronic items with internal compornents like mercury and other heavy metals)\nPlastic bags are not permitted in the leaf and brush dumpsters\n\nREMEMBER\n\nSign in with a volunteer.\nSet Potentially reusable items and scrap metal on the curb next to trash dumpsters for our local scrappers.\nRECYCLE CARDBOARD AT THE CURB ON REGULAR TRASH DAY. Don’t bring it to the dumpster\, please.\nHaven’t paid your dues this year? Volunteers will be available to accept dues checks. Please make checks out to Coleman Highlands Neighborhood Association. Suggested dues are $50.
