Meet our KCPD CIO

May 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

KCPD’s Community Interaction Officer (CIO) program assigns two officers to each patrol division who work as direct liaisons to the communities they serve. Through extensive engagement efforts, CIOs build relationships with Kansas Citians to increase community policing through public safety and crime preventions. Officer Charmainne Sanders stepped up to become a Central Patrol CIO when our former CIO, Holly Sticken, transferred to the DARE program last year. Officer Sanders knows our area well. She’s a graduate of Lincoln College Prep Academy, attended University of Central Missouri, and graduated from the KC Regional Police Academy in 2017. Officer Sanders’ KCPD service has been entirely in the Central Patrol, where she’s been a responsive and energetic CIO since November.

CHNA is hosting a “Meet our CIO” event on Thursday May 27th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. This will be located on the lawn at 3434 West Coleman Road, home of the Pecina family. Please bring lawn chairs and use appropriate COVID protocols.

Officer Sanders will speak and answer questions. If you wiould like to submit questions in advance, please email or submit your questions to a CHNA board member.
