Coleman Highlands Awarded $20k Neighborhood Empowerment Grant
Exciting news for Coleman Highlands! Thanks to the diligent efforts of former CHNA board president Stacey Kenyon, the neighborhood has been awarded a 2025 Neighborhood Empowerment Grant of $20,000 to enhance community signage and banners. This reimbursable grant will fund new banners throughout the neighborhood and the replacement and improvement of the neighborhood monument signage at the north and south ends of Karnes Boulevard.
Updates will also include lighting for the two neighborhood signs and weatherproof, lockable bulletin boards to display important neighborhood announcements.
These updates will help reinforce the neighborhood’s identity, improve visibility, and create a more welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. The grant represents a significant investment in the aesthetics and pride of Coleman Highlands, ensuring our community remains both vibrant and recognizable.
More details about the project, including design plans and installation timelines, will be shared in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates at colemanhighlands.org or on our neighborhood Google email group (contact George Baggett to be added to the Google group) as we bring these exciting improvements to life!
