4th of July Fun in Coleman Highlands
by Cathie Chesen & Sonya Andrews
Franci Pott started our neighborhood’s 4th of July parade and potluck celebration approximately 20+ years ago. She was a wonderful friend and loved our neighborhood. What she created has continued on through the years, only getting better and better. Thanks to everyone who has continued Franci’s legacy for us!
This 4th of July included the firetruck and hose which helped to keep everyone cool. Neighbors set up inflatables and kiddie pools for added entertainment. Neighbor Chris Webb brought out his wild and impressive art car for all to admire and Jerry Bray set up the always popular popcorn and snow cone stand. And of course, Merritt and Julie for coordinating the kids’ games, which were loved.
A huge thank you to board members and other neighborhood volunteers who helped to set up, worked the grills, brought amazing side dishes, and cleaned up afterwards. ▪
