2012 Annual Fall Picnic

Saturday September 15,  5 – 8 pm

We would love for all our neighbors to join us for the annual picnic! Every year we celebrate our community by enjoying a family-friendly fall picnic with the fabulous neighbors that help make Coleman Highlands such a great place to live. If you are new to the neighborhood, this is a great opportunity for you and your families to meet your neighbors, some of the neighborhood association board members, enjoy delicious food and beverages, listen to local bands, and find out ways to get involved in future neighborhood events.

Where: This year the picnic will be held at West Coleman Road between 33rd Street and 34th Street (food and band at intersection of 33rd Terrace and W Coleman.)

Live Music: Jay MowBray and the Aces will be playing from 6-8pm.

For Kids: We will have two inflatables for kids — one for toddlers and one for older kids.

Provided: Ted and Jackie Habiger and Room 39 will prepare the roasted pigs again. The neighborhood association will provide water, lemonade and beer. There will be tables and seating, so bringing your own chairs is optional, but not necessary.

Neighbors Should Bring: PLEASE BRING A SIDE DISH OR A DESSERT. Also, to save on waste, we encourage neighbors to pack a picnic basket with their own picnic/camping plates and flatware, although we will have paper plates and disposable flatware available. Like last year, we plan to have bins for recyclables.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

  • We will need volunteers to help set up tables at 4 and break down.
  • Volunteers to supervise kids in the older kids inflatable (1 hour shifts).
  • Some trash cans and recycling bins brought to location.
  • We also need some fixtures (orange cones, etc.) to block the streets…

If you would like to volunteer to bring needed items or help at the event please contact:
