How to Report Potholes and Other Street Issues

Getting rattled on your route up Roanoke? Getting kicked around in your car on Karnes? Don’t just curse and limp away — be part of the solution. Report potholes to 311 for repair one of three ways:

  • By phone (816-513-1313). You’ll need an address to submit a complaint
  • Online at https://www.kcmo.gov/talk-to-us/mykcmo. Select Street Maintenance, issue sub-type Pothole
  • Use the myKCMO app. Select Report an Issue/Street Maintenance/Pothole

Kansas City is using data to catalog, repair, and quantify problems for future planning. DataKC focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making in city operations and facilitating access to City data for the community.

You can see the map and log at https://data.kcmo.org/311/Pothole-Tracker-Map/8jgx-ug66.

If your complaint gets closed as “resolved” and the hole remains, submit it again and add photos (max. size 5MB).

And if you experience damages due to potholes, there is potential to get reimbursement from the City. Submit your claim online at https://city.kcmo.org/kc/LawDamagesForm/Default
